The first time we ever met
This isn’t the first time Phil Judd and Split Enz have surfaced here in Stevesunusual Land. This is an outstanding music video, showcasing Noel Crombie’s contribution to the group. And it’s long before MTV, so disproving the lie that MTV and its ilk wanted us to buy in the early 80s that the music videos they broadcasted were a new phenomenon. Utter nonsense that fresh generations try to pull on older ones, or, more accurately in this case, older generations (advertising types) try to pull on younger ones (targeted youth) to make them feel they are unique.
The emotive close of the video, each band member looking us in the face. Sweet dreams, sweet dreams, sweet dreams every once in a while.
